Susie Burge is an Australian freelance writer. She holds a Master of Studies in Creative Writing from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in English and Australian Literature from the University of Sydney.
Her arts journalism, interviews and travel stories have appeared in numerous print and online publications including The Guardian UK and ABC Arts Online. She was the founding Travel & Lifestyle Editor of Grazia Australia and for a number of years held the masthead position of Art Contributor at Harper’s Bazaar.
As well as journalism, catalogue essays and commercial copy, Burge writes creative nonfiction, poems and screenplays and her first novel is nearly done – it’s a vivid multilayered road story set on the wild Nullarbor Plain.
Susie Burge works and lives on Gadigal country, where she was born, with her young family and photogenic spotted dog. They read books together every day.
